49-річний Іван Бас – тернополянин, який загинув 3 січня 2023 року під час бойового зіткнення на Донеччині. Захиснику вже присвоєно звання «Почесний громадянин міста Тернополя» посмертно. Тепер його заслужені нагороди примножились.
38-літній Володимир Мадараш помер 20 грудня 2022 року від тяжкого поранення, яке отримав під час бойових дій з російськими окупантами. За життя військовослужбовець мешкав у Гримайлівській громаді.

Орден «За мужність» – це українська державна нагорода, якою відзначають військовослужбовців, працівників правоохоронних органів та інших за виявлену мужність та героїзм.
Після проголошення Незалежності України у 1991 році гостро постало питання про призначення державних нагород як одного із символів державності. За увесь період незалежності президенти заснували багато різноманітних медалей та відзнак, однією із яких є орден «За мужність».
Нагородження орденом може відбуватися посмертно. Присвоїти орден «За мужність» можуть лише указом президента України.
